The band Alabama calls Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home. To pay homage to their home town they had the Alabama Theater built. It opened in 1993 and there has been no turning back. Voted #1 for live theater in the Grand Strand repeatedly as well as playing host to one of the most notable Christmas Shows in Myrtle Beach.
Located on South Kings Highway, North Myrtle Beach in Barefoot landing, makes the Alabama Theater easily accessible from all points north, south, east and west along the Grand Strand. Tickets are available at the box office or in advance by calling or from their website. Throughout the summer children sixteen and under are admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Season passes, show specials and local discounts are available. Reservations and special rates for groups are accepted.
Frequently there are guest appearances by music legends at Alabama Theater, Kenny Rogers, George Jones and so many more. Eddie Miles does an annual show to pay tribute to the King, Elvis Presley.
